About The Rapture by Rudolph C. Schafer
We are told from the pulpit, and elsewhere, that all Christians will leave in the Rapture when Jesus returns for His own. And we are told that this applies to all true Christians with no exceptions. They might be spiritually weak, lukewarm, or totally backslidden, but when that Day comes, we are told that all will go.
No thought is given to preparing for the Rapture; and preparing for it means getting ready to meet Jesus face to face! But if we're going to meet Him, we must be like Him. If we want to meet Him up there, we must be like Him down here. We must pick up our cross daily and follow Him.
But very few understand this, and almost everyone accepts the notion that when the Rapture occurs, all Christians will be in it. Consequently, practically every Believer assumes when that divine moment arrives, he or she will automatically leave this planet. (Continued on page 61 of this book.)
