What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I have been a believer in Christ Jesus for over thirty years and an ordained minister of the Gospel for many years. I have seen the Lord do some powerful and marvelous things through the power of prayer. I therefore thought it good to share with others some of what I have learned about prayer, as well as obstacles to answered prayer. God is a prayer answering, covenant keeping God, Who answers the cries of His people. So, if we are not seeing our prayers answered, it is not God's fault. We may be missing it somewhere. I wrote this book to help people discover the joys of answered prayer, and how to detect and remove those obstacles which can hinder answers to prayer.

The subject of prayer is one that has been taught over and over again, and still many people do not know HOW to receive answers to their requests from God.
This is why it is vital that we re-examine what prayer is and the correct conditions for answered prayer. Prayer is meant to be answered. God answers prayer. This is what separates our God from all idols. He is not an idol of wood or stone. And He is not a dead man who thought he was god. Jehovah is the God of gods, and He is above all.
He is ALIVE, SO REAL and ALMIGHTY. And He answers prayer. He created this avenue of communication with Himself for us to come into His Divine Presence and make our request known. He wants to be involved in our lives and in our affairs. He is interested in us and truly loves us dearly.
As our Wonderful Heavenly Father, He desires that we walk closely with Him, knowing Him and enjoying His wisdom, provision and help. Prayer is the key to a more intimate walk with Him.
Well, What Is Prayer?
Firstly, prayer is speaking to God.
It is being able to share our hearts, our concerns and our desires with Him. We are able to approach God, through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, and make our requests known. His invitation still stands:
Hebrews 4:16
“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”
Secondly, prayer is talking with God.
Now you may ask, what is the difference between speaking to God, and speaking with God? The answer lies in the understanding of the word, ‘WITH.’ In talking to God, we are doing the speaking. But in regards to speaking with God, we are not doing all the talking. We are permitting the Lord to speak back to us. We are communicating with Him and listening as He speaks back to our hearts.
If I were to say that I was speaking with a person, it would stand to reason that I was doing some of the talking, and the other was speaking as well.
As we stated before, our God is ALIVE. He therefore is able to respond to our concerns and requests with His answers and wisdom. He is able to give us solutions to our problems, insights into our situations, and comfort in our troubles. He speaks and He does so by His Spirit within our hearts and by His written Word, which is a lamp to our feet, and a light to our paths. (Psalms 11:105)
If we desire to ascend into God we must develop a life of prayer. If we want to know Him more deeply and more intimately, we will have to pursue Him through prayer. We will have to learn how to approach His Presence with reverence and with faith. After all, we cannot please God without faith. (Hebrews 11:6)
We must learn to pray correctly so that we receive answers to our prayers.
