Mae is the perfect opposite of Doc, exciting and outgoing to his quiet calmness. Can they make a go of it? Will they be the right parents for the abandoned baby boy? Or will they clash and cause more pain and strife for each other and the baby?

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I wanted to write about how setbacks can turn into positive life changes. The life of the newborn baby boy in this book starts off rocky when his mother abandons him. But then two new, loving parents come into his life, showing that the sunshine might come back. The only question is whether his new parents can overcome their differences and find each other to form a happy family.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
I like it when the female lead and her love interest have contrasting traits in their character. In this book, I wanted to explore the contrast between a lively, outgoing girl and a quiet calm doctor. She is the perfect opposite of him, which leads to lots of interesting questions to explore, most of all whether their love can overcome these differences.

She was sure that being a doctor’s wife and taking care of a baby would bring out the best in her. Every day she tried not to be so antagonistic but her nature was to bring the storm with her wherever she went. And she was going to protect that man and his baby with everything she had, no matter what it took.
