There are many ways to climb a mountain. Some ways, however, are more effective and quicker than others. In the aftermath of a breakup, or just feeling lonely time can sometimes flow differently. Hours spent alone can seem like weeks.
However, one of the most important lessons we can learn after a breakup is that life continues. And, if we are going to thrive as individuals and continue to grow, then we must open ourselves to having relationships again. We may be reluctant to forge new relationships after the pain of a breakup. This is only natural. We avoid doing things that may cause ourselves pain.
